Things were a little crazy this week. Luckily we have the Captains to keep us entertained.

I finally got to watch "Big Hero 6" this weekend, and I think that Stan Lee's cameo is the best one yet. So, have you ever had a "Cameo" in a campaign?

For example, in a campaign I ran a while back I was introducing a wizard who was part of a magical police-like organization. I couldn't think of a cool name for the organization, so I eventually decided to call it SHIELD. The players got a kick out of that (especially XiaoKe, who was playing a character based on Deadpool).

Gotta admit I'm getting kinda tired of the OneShot/Filler comics. I feel like we get one once a week.

I prefer how Darths and Droids does it.

I haven't been following Darth's and Droids for a while, how do they do filler?

The goal has been to do 2 updates per week but sometimes life gets in the way and we dont want you guys to think we are dead which is why we put in the filler comics.
We are fully committed to the comic which sometimes is why we cant get the update in on time, if there is a day where I feel like I cant put my all into the strip I delay it rather than throw it together to make sure its quality.

If you guys would rather us just go on a sporadic update schedule with no filler in between we can but we figured something was better than nothing which is why we do the fillers.

Darths and Droids, in my memory, does a lot of planning on what they want to do. then they take screencaps and put together a load of strips to act as a buffer rather than just one at a time. In between movies, I've seen them post things like writeups of campaigns mentioned in the previous strips by the "players".

Otherwise, I don't recall what they do for filler. Though a couple of comics I follow/have read (Grand Line 3.5 and 8-bit Theater) did guest strips. But I think it boils down to the fact that having a buffer for your updates gives you time for breathing room and personal time.

[A follower] got it right. Darths and Droids only runs fillers between arcs/movies. I think they use the time to get a head start on the next arc. I rarely read their fillers but am an avid reader of the main comic.

I'm not trying to tell you how to run your comic and don't want to come off that way. I just wanted to give some feedback. I really enjoy the strip. But I enjoy it as a series and my interest wains with the filler strips. Just trying to provide honest feedback.

We appreciate all of the input. We're airways open to suggestions and we want to know how we can make the comic more enjoyable. We'll look into some different options and hopefully find a good solution for this.

Love the comic, and I think the filers are hilarious. Keep up the good work!

Have you guys considered putting the fillers in their own separate section of the archives? Probably more work than it's worth, but I just wanted to suggest it.

Cameos, eh? ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Once the party latches on to a character, they stand a good chance of showing up even in subsequent campaigns, even if it's a completely different setting.
I also happen to have heavily modeled the final villains for my Rogue Trader campaign after the Mane 6 from Friendship is Magic; might have to add a seventh Chaos Marine to the team to represent Sunny now. Perhaps an Emperor's Children Tactical Champion? I don't recall what Legions I made them sll be, but several are fallen members of Loyalist chapters. I'm using tweaked Deathwatch rules to represent the Chaos Space Marines, since I don't have the Black Crusade books yet.
...I should remember a better one, but 'tis nearly 3AM and I'm only awake because something scared the cats.

What do you mean their own section in the archives? We already set them up to be in a different chapter than the other comics, but that doesn't sound like what you mean.
