Whoo-hoo! Comic number 2!

We're actually releasing this one a little earlier than we had planned. We're working on getting a number of comics prepared before committing to a tri-weekly updating schedule. So originally we had planned to wait until we had a month's worth prepared, but later decided to upload this one so that everyone knows that we're still working on things.

Hopefully we can get the rest ready soon so that we can update more frequently. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this one

Funnily enough its actually quite easy to make a character over powered while staying within the rules, taking flaws is one way, another way is scouring the rule books and being creative.
The only time you run into issues with this is if the GM vetoes it...

On another note I'm going to try and post regular updates on the Blog if you want to keep up to date on how progress is going with the comic simply click the Blog button on the sidebar!

XioKe is right... I think. I may enjoy all these web comics, but D&D isn't really my system. More of a GURPS guy, and I used to also enjoy the old "World of Darkness" setting: I might enjoy the "new" one, except I haven't ever had the chance to read it, let alone play it. XD

Anyway, it is the GMs job to make sure Flaws/Disadvantages/Whatever-the-system-calls-them are worth the build points you get back for taking them.

Kryptonite now makes perfect sense as the GM making sure the PC's "allergy" was worth what the player claimed it was. "You want to get that many points for being allergic to green rocks? Okay, here is how you react to them and btw, while they should be pretty scarce , this is a modern campaign which means they really more "expensive" than "hard to get". Did I mention most of your significant foes are either super rich and can afford them, super criminals that can steal them... or both?"

Then of course there is requiring PCs be fully realized characters for role-playing. ;)

Glad you are enjoying the comic!

The system they are using isnt actually a specific system, just a general RPG so we can keep it loosey goosey ;-)
I really need to try some different systems though, There is a Doctor Who system that I want to try personally.

Hell, I've had characters get vetoed just because I rolled too well on stats for the DM's comfort, with him supervising the roll.
