It's kind of funny how the player with a non-combat orientated class ends up getting combat within a few minutes, while Thor was trying to get combat for quite a while. Maybe the GM decided he didn't want to risk something like when the Hulk ran off before combat could get started.

Some GMs love to put their players out of comfort zone by placing them in the situations they are weak to.

It also may depend on the nature on campaign. In my latest game we played around 5 sessions, and had only one combat sceene.

What do you mean, some GMs?

I always thought that getting some enmies you are designed to defeat is the exception.
(e.g. 20 lowHP Goblins advancing in a 20ft. radius circle, when you are the fireball artillery)

This was always more of a reward, after solving the difficult problems.
